Project Summary
The project belongs to a vegetable farm operating in the Panevėžys district since 2022. Although the farm was formally established relatively recently, the farmer has been involved in agriculture since childhood, initially working on the grandparents’ farm and later on the parents’ farm. The requested financing is intended to refinance two existing loans into one new loan, thereby restructuring future repayments and preserving more working capital for ongoing farm operations.

Farm Overview
The farm was established in 2022 in the Panevėžys district. It currently declares nearly 11 hectares of agricultural land, of which 5 hectares are owned. Although the independent farm has a relatively short formal operating history, the farmer has extensive practical agricultural experience, having been involved in the grandparents’ and later the parents’ farming activities since childhood. After inheriting a homestead, the farmer decided to establish an independent farm, applying the accumulated experience and continuing to develop agricultural knowledge and skills.

Operating Model and Specialization
The farm specializes in vegetable production. The main crops are pumpkins, potatoes, dill, and onions, with a small area also used for oats. Cultivating several different vegetable crops allows the farm’s activities to be distributed across different crops and sales periods.

Relationship with InSoil
The farm has been a member of the InSoil community since 2024. During the cooperation period, one similar loan has been fully repaid. Currently, two additional loans remain active, with a combined outstanding balance of approximately EUR 25,000.

Financing Purpose
After assessing the results of the current season and the need for additional working capital, the farmer applied to refinance both existing loans into one new loan. This would restructure the existing liabilities under a new repayment schedule, allowing funds that would otherwise be used for upcoming loan repayments to remain available for the farm’s working capital needs.

Conclusion
The project represents a specialized vegetable farm whose formal operating history began in 2022, while the farmer’s practical agricultural experience extends considerably further back. The farm has an owned land base, cultivates several different crops, and already has an established cooperation history with InSoil. The financing purpose is clearly defined – to consolidate two existing loans into one new facility, thereby improving cash flow management and preserving working capital for ongoing operations.
