Project Summary
The project belongs to a crop farming operation located in the Panevėžys district, operating since 1997. The farm has nearly 30 years of operating experience, specializes in cereal and legume production, and applies soil-conserving land management practices. The requested financing is intended for the purchase of a used seed drill.

Farm Overview
The farm was established in 1997 in the Panevėžys district. It currently declares 135 hectares of agricultural land, of which 24 hectares are owned. The long operating history and consistent crop production activity provide a solid basis for continuity of the farming business.

Operating Model and Sustainability
The farm specializes in crop production, primarily cultivating wheat, barley, and peas. Land is managed using minimum tillage practices, helping to reduce energy consumption and preserve soil quality. Crop rotation is applied, and cover crops are grown to support soil fertility and biodiversity. This operating model combines agronomic efficiency with long-term soil conservation.

Family Farming Model
The farm operates as a family business and does not employ hired workers. The farmer’s son and grandson actively participate in the farm’s main activities. This structure supports continuity between generations and allows farm operations to be organized using family resources.

Relationship with InSoil
The farm has been a member of the InSoil community since 2026. It currently has one EUR 25,000 loan, with repayment structured over a two-year period.

Financing Purpose
The requested funds will be used to purchase a used seed drill. The machinery may also be sourced from abroad, depending on the most suitable available market offer.

Conclusion
The project represents a long-established family crop farm with a clear specialization, soil-conserving farming practices, and continuity across generations. The financing purpose is clearly defined and intended for the acquisition of a used seed drill directly required for the farm’s core operations.
