Project Summary
The project belongs to a crop farming operation located in the Vilkaviškis district, operating since 2011 in one of Lithuania’s most productive agricultural regions. The farm specializes in cereal and oilseed production and applies no-till and other sustainable farming practices. The requested financing is intended for working capital purposes, while one existing loan will also be refinanced in order to move its 2026 repayment into 2027 and better align the debt structure with the farm’s cash flows.

Farm Overview
The farm was established in 2011 in the Vilkaviškis district. It currently declares 216.46 hectares of agricultural land, of which 48 hectares are owned. The farm has more than 15 years of operating experience and consistently carries out crop production activities.

Operating Model and Sustainability
The farm specializes in crop production, primarily cultivating winter and spring wheat, rapeseed, and beans. Land is managed using no-till practices, supported by crop rotation and cover crops. This farming model is focused on soil preservation, efficient use of resources, and long-term continuity of operations.
The farm operates a modern machinery base, including two newer tractors, a combine harvester, cultivator, seed drill, and other equipment required for its core farming activities.

Family Farming Model
The farmer’s husband is actively involved in the farm’s operations, supporting the management of the machinery fleet and participating in the main crop production and harvesting activities. The farm is operated on a family basis.

Relationship with InSoil
The farm has been a member of the InSoil community since 2021. To date, 8 loans with a total amount of EUR 217,000 have been fully repaid. Following the proposed financing, the customer will have 5 active loans with a total outstanding balance of EUR 153,500 and a combined portfolio LTV of 98.56%.
The farmer also participates in the InSoil Carbon Farming Programme, with 160 hectares included in the programme.

Financing Purpose
The requested financing is intended for working capital purposes. In order to reduce the repayment burden in 2026 and preserve more liquidity for ongoing farm operations, one of the existing loans will be refinanced. As a result, the repayment originally scheduled for 2026 will be moved into 2027, allowing the corresponding funds to remain available for the farm’s working capital needs and operational continuity.

Conclusion
The project represents an established crop farm with significant operating scale, an owned land base, a modern machinery fleet, and a long-standing cooperation history with InSoil. To date, 8 loans totaling EUR 217,000 have been fully repaid. The purpose of the new financing is to optimize short-term cash flows by refinancing one existing loan and moving its 2026 repayment into 2027, thereby preserving additional working capital for the farm’s core operations.
