Project Summary
The project belongs to a mixed farm operating in the Kelmė district since 1998. The farm combines dairy farming and crop production, with most of the grain produced being used as feed for its own livestock. The requested financing is intended for the acquisition of land currently leased and used by the farm, following the owners’ decision to sell it.

Farm Overview
The farm was established in 1998 in the Kelmė district and has more than 25 years of operating experience. It currently declares nearly 70 hectares of agricultural land, of which 30 hectares are owned. The farm operates a mixed livestock and crop farming model.

Operating Model and Diversification
The farm keeps 78 cattle, including 43 dairy cows and 35 young cattle. Daily milk production amounts to approximately 1 tonne.
In addition, the farm grows cereal crops including oats, wheat, and maize. Crop rotation is applied and cover crops are grown. Most of the crop production is used internally as livestock feed, creating a direct link between the crop and livestock activities.

Relationship with InSoil
The farm has been a member of the InSoil community since 2025. It currently has one active loan with an outstanding balance of approximately EUR 13,000. All payments are made on time.

Financing Purpose
The requested funds will be used to acquire land that is currently leased and already used in the farm’s operations. As the landowners have decided to sell the property, the farmer intends to purchase the cultivated land and increase the share of owned farmland.

Conclusion
The project represents a long-established mixed farm where dairy production and crop farming complement each other. The farm has an existing owned land base, maintains timely repayment of its current InSoil obligations, and the requested financing is intended to acquire already cultivated leased land and increase the share of owned farmland.
