Project Summary
The project belongs to a crop farming operation located in the Mažeikiai district, operating since 2012. The farm has more than a decade of operating experience, cultivates a diversified range of cereal, legume, and vegetable crops, and applies sustainable land management practices. Following a more challenging season, the requested financing is intended to refinance two existing loans under a new repayment schedule and provide additional working capital for ongoing operations.

Farm Overview
The farm was established in 2012 in the Mažeikiai district. It currently declares 96 hectares of agricultural land, of which 48 hectares are owned. The significant share of owned land provides a solid basis for long-term continuity of the farming operation.

Operating Model and Sustainability
The farm specializes in crop production. The main crops are wheat, peas, oats, triticale, barley, and potatoes. Cultivating several different crops provides diversification across different types of agricultural production.

Land is managed using no-till practices, supported by crop rotation and cover crops. This farming model focuses on soil preservation and long-term operational continuity.

Relationship with InSoil
The farm has been a member of the InSoil community since 2023. During the cooperation period, one EUR 15,000 loan has been fully repaid. Currently, two additional loans remain active, with a combined outstanding balance of approximately EUR 15,000.

Financing Purpose
Following a more challenging season, the farmer aims to better balance short-term cash flows. The new financing will be used to fully refinance both existing loans and restructure their repayment under a new schedule. An additional part of the financing will be used for working capital required for ongoing farm operations.

Conclusion
The project represents a crop farm with more than a decade of operating experience, a significant owned land base, a diversified crop portfolio, and sustainable land management practices. The farm has an established cooperation history with InSoil and has already fully repaid one loan. The purpose of the new financing is to refinance the two existing loans, better align repayments with the farm’s current cash flows, and provide additional working capital to support continuity of operations.
