Project Summary
The project belongs to a crop and vegetable farming operation located in the Mažeikiai district, operating since 2021. The farm combines cereal and vegetable production, generating income from several different agricultural activities. The requested financing is intended to refinance two existing loans under a new repayment schedule, thereby preserving additional liquidity for working capital needs.

Farm Overview
The farm was established in 2021 in the Mažeikiai district. It currently declares 20 hectares of agricultural land, of which 2 hectares are owned and the remaining area is leased.

Operating Model and Diversification
The farm grows cereal and oilseed crops including oats and rapeseed, as well as vegetables, mainly potatoes. Approximately 60% of turnover is generated from cereal and oilseed crop sales, while around 40% comes from vegetable sales. This structure provides diversification across different crop groups and reduces dependence on a single business line.

Sustainability
No-till practices are applied to cereal crops, while minimum tillage is used for vegetable production. This approach combines soil-conserving farming practices with the practical requirements of vegetable cultivation.

Additional Source of Income
During the off-season, the farmer has been working for the same company in Norway for more than 10 years as a concrete floor polisher. This provides a stable additional source of income and reduces dependence on agricultural results alone.

Relationship with InSoil
The farm has been a member of the InSoil community since 2025. It currently has two active loans with a combined outstanding balance of approximately EUR 22,700.

Financing Purpose
Following a more challenging season, the farmer aims to better balance short-term cash flows. The new financing will be used to refinance both existing loans and restructure their repayment under a new schedule. As a result, part of the funds that would otherwise be used for upcoming loan repayments will remain available for the farm’s working capital needs.

Conclusion
The project represents a diversified crop and vegetable farm with several agricultural income streams and an additional stable source of income from employment in Norway. The financing purpose is clearly defined – to refinance two existing loans, restructure repayments under a new schedule, and preserve additional working capital for ongoing farm operations.
